About the position

The Group Product Innovation Manager at Nucor is responsible for leading the product group to develop innovative products and services that meet builder and market needs. This role focuses on enhancing the business health and profitability of the Buildings Group by investigating state-of-the-art software platforms, launching new building components, and establishing collaborative processes with other Nucor product groups. The manager will also oversee development contractors, provide updates on product development, and create a culture of inclusivity and innovation within the team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the product group to develop future products and services.
• Investigate and deploy state-of-the-art software platforms for the builder network.
• Develop and launch new building components to meet customer needs.
• Establish processes and relationships with all Nucor product groups.
• Source and oversee software and development contractors for product development.
• Improve collaboration with other Nucor product groups.
• Provide routine updates on development to teammates and customers.
• Establish and publish metrics to measure team performance.
• Work closely with the Reliability Manager for smooth product transitions.
• Review teammate performance and identify coaching needs.
• Create a culture of inclusivity and foster innovation.
• Determine staffing and contractor needs, including hiring and accountability.

Requirements

• 3 years prior leadership experience overseeing direct reports.
• 3 years of metal building experience or formal education in software development or engineering.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
