About the position

The Group Product Manager at Orthofix is responsible for managing a specific group of products and technologies within the medical device industry. Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a highly motivated product marketing group to achieve business goals.
  • Identify market problems, quantify opportunities, and create product and service strategies that achieve company revenue and profitability objectives.
  • Translate market problems into market requirements for the product development process.
  • Ensure products meet market needs through rigorous pre-clinical and clinical validation activities.
  • Manage upstream marketing activities including market research, product positioning, pricing strategy, and financial valuations.
  • Develop and execute tactical marketing plans for existing and new commercial products/programs.
  • Define sales training and medical education requirements for successful product adoption.
  • Facilitate ongoing customer feedback mechanisms for continuous improvement.
  • Provide onboarding and mentorship to junior team members and ensure effective integration into the organizational culture.
  • Present effective marketing strategies and assist senior leadership in implementing strategic initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 6 years of product marketing experience in the medical device industry.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor product marketing colleagues.
  • Experience in product commercialization from new idea to market release.
  • Ability to gather and utilize customer information for product improvements.
  • Experience in quantitative analysis for global/regional performance and decision making.
  • Effective collaboration with direct and indirect sales forces to achieve results.
  • Experience in executing brand positioning strategies that drive product demand.
  • Expert knowledge of contemporary practices in Product Marketing.
  • Strong financial and statistical analytical skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills across all organizational levels.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Strong influencing and negotiating skills.
  • Project management skills.
  • Ability to travel 30% of the time.
