The Group Program Manager IT Transformation will be responsible for the planning and execution of major company initiatives to deliver long-term value to T-Mobile, including integration, separation, and divestiture programs for IT systems. This role requires a detail-oriented PM with expertise in wireless telecommunications and a proven track record in managing complex programs at the enterprise level. The IT Transformation PM will enhance our competitive position by working closely with functional and cross-functional teams across IT to monitor, support, and ensure the successful delivery of integration and/or separation initiatives in line with T-Mobile's strategic goals by collaborating effectively with cross-functional business and technology development teams to solve problems and implement new solutions. These programs may consist of multiple, complex projects with high visibility, aggressive schedules, and require significant negotiation to balance the needs of multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with IT stakeholders to define and implement processes and tools to enable operational due diligence activities, including any necessary data rooms, parlor rooms, and/or clean rooms.
  • Define, implement, and lead IT activities to facilitate assessment, creation, and timelines for integration and/or separation initiatives.
  • Manage and lead IT projects to meet deadlines for transitional activities, including hour by hour plans, command centers, etc.
  • Design, communicate, and implement governance activities and deliverables to monitor progress, control integration and/or separation processes, and report on status for IT projects.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on the creation of detailed integration and/or separation project plans, including identification of timelines, dependencies, and risks across IT projects.
  • Identify, assess, and manage risks and issues associated with integration and separation initiatives, collaborating with stakeholders to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans across the IT projects.
  • Ensure timely resolution of initiative issues to minimize impact on program timelines and objectives across IT projects.
  • Develop and implement change management plans to ensure smooth transitions and stakeholder buy-ins across IT teams.
  • Assemble key players on the project team and nurture internal working relationships across the enterprise which fosters the development of cross functional teamwork.
  • Delegate project responsibilities and task interfaces, direct, motivate and manage the project work and resources involved within the project.
  • Ensure timely activity, integration and productivity of technical support and administer efficient use of resources to meet requirements with clear identification of task completion.
  • Question ambiguous responsibilities and manage conflicts to an early resolution and escalation of any unresolved issues.
  • Play a support role with technical solutions ensuring all groups' responsibilities are included, managing very closely with the technical leaders to ensure alignment.
  • Manage Project Management functional scope and schedule.
  • Provide oversight of management and allocation of personnel and resources to projects.
  • Resolve resource conflicts and priorities.
  • Be accountable for and direct others in creation of all project communications.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in managing complex programs at the enterprise level, particularly in wireless telecommunications.
  • Strong project management skills with a focus on integration and separation initiatives.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience in risk management and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Strong communication skills to direct project communications and governance activities.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
