About the position

The Group Risk Specialist role at TD Bank focuses on Operational Risk Management (ORM) within the Treasury and Finance sector. This position is responsible for providing comprehensive risk management expertise to business leaders, implementing risk frameworks, and managing activities to mitigate enterprise-wide risk exposures. The specialist will lead cross-functional teams, solve complex problems, and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders to influence and align on risk management strategies.

Responsibilities

• Provide risk management expertise to business leaders and support the implementation of risk frameworks.
• Lead cross-functional teams or projects with significant resource requirements and complexity.
• Independently manage end-to-end functional programs related to risk management.
• Analyze potential risks and escalate key risks to appropriate areas for review and action.
• Develop and monitor Key Risk Indicators and facilitate communication of risk issues among business segments.
• Conduct internal and external research projects to support risk management initiatives.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree or technical certificate and/or 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Advanced knowledge of risk management governance, programs, policies, and practices.
• Ability to lead, plan, implement, and evaluate program/project activities.
• Advanced skill in using analytical software tools and data analysis methods.
• Strong communication skills in both oral and written form.
• Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships across teams.

Nice-to-haves

• Treasury Operational experience including Liquidity and Investments.
• Knowledge of Treasury Service products and credit risk processes.
