About the position

The Group Rooms Coordinator at the Renaissance Dallas Addison Hotel is responsible for managing guest reservations, ensuring the appropriate room types are available, and maximizing revenue through effective sales techniques. This role involves direct communication with guests and various departments to accommodate rooming requests and maintain accurate records of group reservations.

Responsibilities

• Identify guest reservation needs and determine appropriate room type.
• Verify availability of room types and rates.
• Explain guarantee, special rate, and cancellation policies to callers.
• Follow sales techniques to maximize revenue.
• Communicate information regarding designated VIP reservations.
• Respond to challenges in accommodating rooming requests by coordinating with relevant departments.
• Oversee accuracy of room blocks and reservations.
• Input group rooming lists using reservation systems and revise room blocks as necessary.
• Set up proper billing accounts according to accounting policies.
• Follow all company policies and procedures and maintain a professional appearance.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.
• Anticipate and address guests' service needs, including assisting individuals with disabilities.
• Prepare and review written documents accurately and completely.
• Answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others.
• Support team efforts to reach common goals and respond to employee concerns.
• Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
• Lead and visually verify information in various formats.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
