About the position

The Group Sales Coordinator at the Appalachian Mountain Club plays a crucial role in ensuring that group guests have an exceptional experience while visiting AMC destinations. This position involves coordinating hospitality services, maintaining communication with group leaders, and assisting with customer service during peak times. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Support AMC Group Sales Team in delivering accurate and consistent communication with group leaders.
• Coordinate the delivery of hospitality services for groups visiting AMC destinations through accurate Banquet Event Orders.
• Serve as a liaison between group leaders and AMC destination managers to meet guest and staff expectations.
• Confirm payment, apply cancellation policy, finalize guest numbers, dietary restrictions, meeting space/AV needs, and other services offered.
• Upsell AMC products and services to groups prior to arrival.
• Answer phone calls from the customer service phone queue during peak times.
• Build relationships and serve as a liaison to all group leaders.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of frontline experience in the hospitality industry.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, and Google Drive.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work consistent, normal business hours for guest communications.

• Ability to commute to AMC's Pinkham Notch and Crawford Notch locations when necessary.
• Resourceful, self-starter with strong interpersonal communication skills.
