About the position

As the Group & Events Sales Manager at Alila Ventana Big Sur, you will be responsible for driving group and events business, focusing on securing high-value bookings for corporate retreats, meetings, weddings, and exclusive events. This role involves building relationships with key decision-makers, implementing creative sales strategies, and ensuring seamless execution of sales techniques to close business. The ideal candidate will have a passion for luxury hospitality and a proactive approach to sales.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve group and events sales targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, meeting planners, and event organizers.
  • Identify and target key growth opportunities through proactive outreach and creative sales initiatives.
  • Prepare tailored proposals and negotiate contracts that reflect the resort's positioning.
  • Collaborate with events and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of all group and events bookings.
  • Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and client needs to refine sales strategies.
  • Act as an ambassador for Alila Ventana Big Sur at industry events and networking opportunities.
  • Work closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing to develop and achieve revenue targets.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in luxury hospitality sales, with a strong track record of success in group and events sales.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven ability to close high-value group bookings and meet sales targets.
  • Deep understanding of the luxury hospitality segment and the expectations of discerning clientele.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and creative, with a passion for delivering memorable guest experiences.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in sales and CRM software.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in eco-luxury or wellness-oriented properties.
  • Familiarity with Hyatt systems.
