About the position

The Group Sales Manager at Bardessono Hotel and Spa is responsible for driving sales through proactive solicitation and maintaining customer satisfaction. This role involves a significant amount of outside sales activity, proposal management, and collaboration with the Director of Sales to achieve marketing goals and sales quotas.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a successful, aggressive solicitation process involving outside sales calls, inside appointments, telephone calls, individual letters, and direct mail.
• Assist the Director of Sales in preparing the annual marketing plan, including action plans for assigned market segments.
• Send proposals on all leads that fit the property profile and actively follow through to convert proposals to definite status.
• Clearly outline clients' room block, suite, and meeting space requirements on booking sheets.
• Obtain, document, and route all necessary information on definite groups, including billing information and rooming lists.
• Maintain a sales quota as assigned by the Director of Sales.
• Prepare and provide weekly sales call reports and itineraries to the Director of Sales.
• Assist the Director of Sales on special projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous sales experience is a must for this Sales Manager position.
• Strong business communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to demonstrate excellent sales skills by knowing and selling the product in a professional and courteous manner.
• May be required to work varying schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
