About the position

At Google, Product Managers are essential in guiding products from conception to launch, ensuring that user needs are met through innovative solutions. This role involves working cross-functionally with various teams to connect technical and business aspects, focusing on the development of networking and security solutions for Google Cloud customers. The position requires a deep understanding of product management, network architecture, and the ability to analyze and tailor solutions to meet user requirements.

Responsibilities

• Advise customers to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Gather customer insights and feedback.
• Define solution requirements based on customer discussions and business needs.
• Conduct design workshops, and author solution design guides, reference architectures, and blueprints.
• Support and partner with the larger field technical community.
• Provide training to the sales team, partners, and customers on best practices on network designs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
• 8 years of experience in network and security product management, cloud architecture, solutions architecture or related roles.
• 5 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.
• Experience in data center, campus, branch network design.
• Experience in mobile architecture from RAN to packet core, end-to-end 5G architecture.
• Experience with Networking, Network Architecture, Networking Protocols, Software Architecture.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree in a technology or business related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 7 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales finance, and other stakeholders.
• 7 years of experience in a business function or role (e.g., marketing, business operations, consulting).
• 5 years of experience in software development or engineering.
• 5 years of experience in a role preparing and delivering technical presentations to executive leadership.
• Experience incorporating inclusion and accessibility into product development methodologies and knowledge of building accessibility best practices.
