About the position

The Growth and Activation Product Manager at Philo is responsible for driving technical initiatives aimed at acquiring new customers and retaining existing users. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance user engagement and ensure a seamless customer journey from acquisition to retention. The manager will develop growth strategies, optimize user funnels, and utilize data-driven insights to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute growth strategies to increase user acquisition, activation, and retention.
  • Identify key activation metrics and optimize the onboarding experience to improve conversion rates.
  • Use data-driven insights to monitor KPIs like user growth, activation, retention, and churn.
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, marketing, and data science teams to drive product improvements.
  • Conduct user research and gather customer feedback to uncover pain points and opportunities for product improvements.
  • Lead rapid experimentation with features, growth hacks, and campaigns to test hypotheses around user acquisition and engagement.
  • Develop acquisition and retention strategies to engage prospective customers and keep users engaged long-term.
  • Own the growth and activation product roadmap, prioritize initiatives based on business impact, and communicate plans to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 6-10 years of product management experience in growth or activation-focused roles within SaaS or consumer-facing products.
  • Experience designing, building, analyzing, and iterating upon product experiences.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and organizing inputs from various stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills with technical and business stakeholders to understand product and logistical tradeoffs.
  • Solid understanding of product development lifecycles, growth loops, funnels, and user activation strategies.
  • Strong understanding of A/B testing, multivariate testing, and growth hacking techniques.
  • Expertise in user onboarding and activation optimization across web and mobile platforms.
  • In-depth understanding of user retention strategies, including lifecycle marketing and user segmentation.
  • Hands-on experience with product analytics tools to track and analyze key growth metrics.
  • Experience with growth loops and viral marketing to drive organic user acquisition.

Nice-to-haves
