About the position
The Growth Data Analyst at Warner Bros. Discovery plays a crucial role in delivering data and insights to key stakeholders across various business units. This position focuses on understanding the data and analytics ecosystem of TNT Sports, creating meaningful data solutions, and enhancing business objectives through data-driven insights.
Responsibilities
- Gain an understanding of TNT Sports' data and analytics needs to identify new opportunities for business insights and marketing activations.
- Translate business requirements into technical requirements through stakeholder interviews, data discovery, and exploratory data analyses.
- Collaborate with Project Manager, Data Architect, and team members to determine feasibility, design, validate data sets, and ensure successful deliverables.
- Wrangle data from multiple sources to create integrated and actionable data insights through data extraction and transformation processes.
- Build and maintain relationships with matrixed teams across the organization.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a business or data analyst in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong data analysis, problem solving, time management, and communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to interpret technical jargon for non-technical business users.
- Advanced communication skills and analytic thinking to communicate effectively between technical and non-technical teams.
- Experience in technical documentation and data/process flows is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with varying timelines and adapt to changing goals.
- Proficient in SQL/Python/R, SQL databases like PostgreSQL and Snowflake, and BI Tools like Looker and Tableau.
- Experience working with complex data sets, analyzing and UATing the data.
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of data engineering/pipelines (Pentaho) is a plus.
