About the position
The Growth Data Analyst at Warner Bros. Discovery plays a crucial role in delivering data and insights to key stakeholders across various business units, including Marketing, Product, Research, and Sales. This position focuses on understanding the data and analytics ecosystem of TNT Sports and creating meaningful data solutions to support business objectives. The analyst will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical requirements and provide actionable insights through data analysis.
Responsibilities
- Gain an understanding of TNT Sports' data and analytics needs to identify new opportunities for business insights and marketing activations.
- Translate business requirements into technical requirements through stakeholder interviews and data analyses.
- Collaborate with Project Manager, Data Architect, and team members to validate data sets and ensure successful deliverables.
- Wrangle data from multiple sources to create integrated and actionable data insights using SQL, Python, LookML, etc.
- Build and maintain relationships with matrixed teams across the organization.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a business or data analyst in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong data analysis, problem solving, time management, and communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for interpreting technical jargon to non-technical users.
- Experience in technical documentation and data/process flows is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with varying timelines and adapt to changing goals.
- Proficient in SQL, Python, R, and BI tools like Looker and Tableau.
- Experience with SQL databases like PostgreSQL and Snowflake.
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of data engineering/pipelines (Pentaho) is a plus.
