About the position

The founding engineer for Cellular at Meter will play a critical role in driving the vision and success of a new product that provides complete connectivity solutions using Neutral Host CBRS technology. This position involves developing and managing the network infrastructure necessary for delivering reliable cellular service in buildings with poor coverage, ensuring innovative and competitive solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and deployment of CBRS-based cellular solutions, focusing on MOCN and related technologies.
  • Architect and manage the development of all technical aspects of the Cellular team's projects, including software, hardware, and technical implementation.
  • Maintain and optimize MOCN software and infrastructure by staying up-to-date with vendors' latest software releases.
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging of Neutral Host CBRS applications to ensure quality and reliability.
  • Lead the technical implementation of Cellular for customer deployments, ensuring hardware and software are configured and working properly.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for Cellular network issues, including on-call support as needed.
  • Partner with Network Engineering and Field Engineering teams to debug performance-related issues with Meter's Network product.
  • Monitor system performance metrics and implement solutions to ensure performance meets standards.

Requirements

  • Experience in developing and deploying cellular solutions, particularly with CBRS and MOCN technologies.
  • Strong background in network architecture and infrastructure management.
  • Proficiency in software development and technical implementation related to networking solutions.
  • Experience in testing and debugging network applications.
  • Ability to provide technical support and troubleshoot network issues effectively.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with Neutral Host CBRS applications and technologies.
  • Experience working in a startup environment.
  • Knowledge of performance monitoring tools and techniques.
