About the position

The Growth Marketing Manager at Calm will play a pivotal role in driving the company's growth engine and addressing the mental health crisis through innovative marketing strategies. This position focuses primarily on leading affiliate marketing initiatives, which are crucial for expanding Calm's reach and impact. As a self-driven generalist, the Growth Marketing Manager will be responsible for both strategic planning and tactical execution, ensuring that marketing efforts align with Calm's mission of promoting health and happiness worldwide. With over 100 million users and a daily influx of 100,000 new users, the role is integral to maintaining and enhancing Calm's position in the market. In this role, the Growth Marketing Manager will develop and implement comprehensive affiliate marketing strategies aimed at driving revenue growth. This includes identifying, recruiting, and managing new affiliate partners to expand Calm's network, as well as optimizing existing relationships to maximize performance and return on investment (ROI). The manager will also oversee vendor relationships that support the affiliate program, ensuring that all partnerships are beneficial and aligned with Calm's goals. Monitoring and analyzing affiliate performance metrics will be a key responsibility, as the Growth Marketing Manager will need to ensure that targets are met or exceeded. This involves negotiating contracts and commission structures with affiliate partners to secure favorable terms. Staying current with industry trends and the competitive landscape is essential for maintaining a cutting-edge affiliate program, and the manager will provide regular reports and insights to senior management regarding program performance and growth opportunities. Collaboration with internal teams is crucial, as the Growth Marketing Manager will work closely with media buyers, marketing operations, creative, brand marketing, and data teams to continuously evolve and improve the affiliate marketing strategy. The role requires a blend of technical and creative skills, enabling the manager to actively manage campaigns and test strategies across various paid marketing channels to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive affiliate marketing strategies to drive revenue growth
  • Identify, recruit, and manage new affiliate partners to expand our network
  • Optimize existing affiliate relationships to maximize performance and ROI

  • Collaborate with internal team members to align affiliate marketing efforts with broader marketing and business objectives
  • Partner with established paid marketing channel owners to test strategies and optimize campaigns in order to maximize efficiency, jumping in to actively manage campaigns as needed

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in partner or affiliate management, including experience with affiliate networks, platforms, and agencies
  • Skilled performance marketer with deep expertise in optimizing paid marketing campaigns to ROI goals
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and growing affiliate programs or other paid channels, with experience operating as a sole owner of a channel to drive business outcomes
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
  • Proficiency in affiliate tracking platforms and digital marketing tools
  • Self-sufficient and comfortable building new approaches
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail

  • Experience managing Meta, ASA, SEM, and/or offline performance marketing campaigns
