About the position

The Growth Marketing Senior Managing Consultant for Retail Deposits Acquisition at Mastercard plays a pivotal role in acquiring, engaging, and retaining customers through innovative marketing strategies. This position is integral to the Advisors Services team, which focuses on enhancing cybersecurity, managing fraud and risk, and improving the digital payments experience. The consultant will leverage Mastercard's extensive data assets and proprietary platforms to provide clients with strategic insights and recommendations that drive growth and profitability. The role requires a dynamic marketing strategist who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing traditional marketing efforts with modern, data-driven approaches. In this role, the consultant will lead the development and execution of marketing strategies aimed at growing deposits and relationships for both traditional and emerging retail banks. This includes working closely with internal and external clients to scale revenue through effective marketing solutions. The consultant will be responsible for executing programs across various channels, including digital marketing, direct mail, and in-branch promotions. They will implement marketing solutions that address customer challenges such as acquisition, activation, retention, and loyalty, ensuring that all campaigns are data-driven and results-oriented. The consultant will also manage end-to-end project management, including planning, documentation, scheduling, and measurement of marketing initiatives. They will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, maintaining relationships with stakeholders from mid-level to C-suite, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality marketing services. The role demands a meticulous approach to project management, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks while ensuring projects are completed efficiently and cost-effectively. The consultant will contribute to the evolution of Mastercard's products and strategies, building strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders as a subject matter expert.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development and execution of deposits and relationship growth marketing strategies and campaigns for traditional and/or emerging retail banks.
  • Work with internal and external clients to grow and scale Mastercard's and clients' revenue through data and results-driven marketing strategies and solutions.
  • Execution of programs and campaigns for 'above and/or below' the line marketing, with expertise in digital channels as well as direct mail and banking retail locations.
  • Implement deposits growth-related marketing solutions including data-driven digital campaigns, marketing automation, and account lifecycle management initiatives.
  • Identify customer opportunities, craft strategic marketing plans, gain customer agreement, and execute campaigns while measuring results for continuous optimization.
  • Manage and collaborate with other assigned resources on engagements to drive program results, including engaging internal stakeholders from business development and client account management.
  • End-to-end project management including project planning, documentation, scheduling, finances, implementation, and measurement.
  • Manage agencies and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Serve as a trusted client business advisor and own senior client relationships from mid-level to C-suite.
  • Ensure flawless delivery of Marketing Services projects while maintaining the highest standards of quality in customer relationships.
  • Identify, track, and mitigate risks and issues throughout the delivery of initiatives.
  • Ensure completion of projects in an efficient and cost-effective manner in line with deadlines and required structures.
  • Contribute to evolving products supporting the Global and Regional product strategy.
  • Build relationships with Clients and key internal stakeholders as a subject matter expert and trusted engagement leader.

Requirements

  • Subject matter expertise in retail and/or online banking relationships and deposits growth marketing.
  • 10+ years experience on the client or agency side executing marketing campaigns and managing complex marketing projects, or within a top tier consulting firm focused on retail deposits growth.
  • Demonstrated subject matter expertise in retail and/or online banking relationships and deposits growth marketing.
  • Experience working within an agile, growth hacking approach with strong knowledge of digital marketing channels, retail banking, direct mail, training, and sales resource development.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with detailed tactical execution skills to drive overall client impact.
  • Market savvy, understanding emerging trends and using market opportunities.
  • Experience in a matrix organization structure, managing and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders effectively.
  • Meticulous with excellent coordination and project management skills to manage multiple projects and work streams effectively.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with flexibility to multitask and handle multiple requests with varying degrees of priority simultaneously.
  • Strong capability in data analysis, translating raw data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of articulating storytelling and translating complex insights into compelling narratives.
