About the position

The Growth Merchant Lead (GML) for Emerging Markets at DoorDash is responsible for driving new business and expanding partnerships with local and regional restaurants across the United States. This role involves frequent travel to emerging markets, managing a transactional deal cycle, and contributing to the overall growth strategy of DoorDash. The GML will work closely with the Outside Sales team to enhance DoorDash's presence in untapped markets, primarily in rural areas, and will report to the Regional Sales Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to emerging markets to establish and expand DoorDash's presence.
  • Sell the value of partnering with DoorDash to restaurant owners and negotiate revenue agreements.
  • Manage a largely transactional deal cycle to close new business quickly.
  • Develop strategies and playbooks for scalable success in sales efforts.

Requirements

  • 2.5+ years of experience in a closing sales role or related experience.
  • Ability to travel at least 50% of the time to meet with restaurant owners.
  • Efficient and strategic in using inside and outside sales tactics to achieve goals.
  • Experience using a CRM (Salesforce) and Google Apps.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on building strategies for success.
