About the position

The Growth Merchant Lead (GML) for Emerging Markets is a key role within the Outside Sales team at DoorDash, responsible for driving new business and expanding partnerships with local and regional restaurants across the US. This position focuses on untapped markets, requiring frequent travel to establish and negotiate revenue share agreements, ultimately contributing to the overall growth strategy of DoorDash.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to emerging markets to expand DoorDash's footprint.
  • Sell restaurant owners on the value of partnering with DoorDash.
  • Negotiate revenue share agreements with restaurant owners.
  • Manage a largely transactional deal cycle to drive new partnerships.
  • Close new business within days in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • 2.5+ years of experience in a closing sales role or related experience.
  • Ability to travel at least 50% of the time to meet with restaurant owners.
  • Efficient and strategic in using inside and outside sales tactics to reach goals.
  • Experience using a CRM (Salesforce) and Google Apps.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on building strategies and playbooks for scalable success.
