About the position

The Growth Pastor position is a full-time role that reports directly to the Senior Pastor and is designed to support adult ministries, discipleship, and pastoral care within the church community. The Growth Pastor will work closely with the Executive Pastor to oversee various ministries, including Celebrate Recovery, Counseling Ministries, Life Groups, Pastoral Care, Special Events, and Missions. This role requires a proactive approach to ministry leadership, focusing on developing support systems, training leaders, and establishing metrics to enhance the effectiveness of these ministries. The Growth Pastor will be responsible for leading leaders rather than directly managing the ministries themselves. This involves maintaining open lines of communication with stakeholders, briefing the Executive Pastor on emerging issues, and hosting meetings with key stakeholders to advance annual plans. The role also includes supporting communication efforts, recruitment, and administration, ensuring that events are well-planned and executed. The Growth Pastor will serve as a liaison between the Senior Pastor, church staff, volunteers, and the public, championing the leaders and ministries under their care. In addition to regular duties, the Growth Pastor will be available for setup and teardown on weekends and may need to attend after-hours meetings for counseling. The ideal candidate will possess strong character traits, competence in ministry, and a willingness to embrace the church's leadership model and doctrinal positions. This position is an opportunity to make a significant impact within the church community by fostering growth and development in various ministries.
