About the position
Our Summer Internship Program puts you in the heart of one of the most strategic companies in the world. You will partner with multiple team members, collaborate with different departments, focus on specific projects, which you will support and even lead. Your expertise will help solve problems that may not even exist today. Our guidance and education throughout this journey will help build your confidence, expand your professional experiences and help improve your leadership skills. Our Program runs for approximately 13 weeks from the mid-May to mid-August. Internships are paid and available for those seeking remote, hybrid, and onsite opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Deeply understand our customers' needs through customer empathy, data and prioritize work
- Refine experiments and use qualitative and quantitative insights to drive decisions or further experimentation
- Actively learn different points of view, seeking to understand then be understood
- Tailor messaging based on audience needs and desired outcomes
- Leverage data to understand how the product is performing; prioritize most valuable work and set expectations accordingly
- Seek to understand WEX's corporate strategy, the competitive environment and market trends and how our products can create value
Requirements
- At a minimum, you should be a rising junior or senior in a degree/certificate-seeking accredited program
- Self-Starter, with a curious and a learning mindset
- Ability to work in a dynamic, collaborative environment with strong problem solving skills
- Proven ability to work closely with different business groups (e.g. Marketing, Design, Sales, Tech) to prioritize and deliver on desired outcomes
- Strong project management skills, including planning and execution
- Strong communication skills, including presentation to various audiences
- Strong capability of leveraging data to measure experiment outcomes and translate them to business recommendations
