About the position

The GTM Operations Lead at Freeplay is a pivotal role focused on supporting sales activities and enhancing the revenue organization within a fast-growing generative AI startup. This position involves close collaboration with the CEO on high-priority go-to-market (GTM) initiatives, ranging from tactical deal closures to establishing operational structures and processes that will facilitate future growth. The role is hands-on, requiring a blend of project management, operational efficiency, and strategic thinking to build and scale the revenue engine of the company.

Responsibilities

  • Support sales activities and grow the revenue organization.
  • Collaborate closely with the CEO on high-priority GTM initiatives.
  • Maintain strong processes and data hygiene.
  • Tackle special projects and develop strategies for scaling the organization.
  • Build operational infrastructure to support new sales and account management/expansion.
  • Focus on evolving the role to include customer success, self-serve strategies, partnerships, and new market development.

Requirements

  • 3-7 years of experience in a GTM role (sales, customer success, RevOps, etc.) within a startup, SaaS, technology, or complex consulting environment.
  • Proven project management and operations skills with a track record of building operational processes.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for crafting professional customer-facing materials.
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience in tracking, reporting, and optimizing processes and KPIs.

Nice-to-haves

  • An MBA or equivalent business experience.
  • Experience in software or technology sales with a significant operations focus.
  • Familiarity with managing CRM systems and sales processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, and engineering teams.
  • Prior experience with generative AI and/or developer products.
  • Experience leading B2B enterprise sales efforts and building relationships with technical decision-makers.
