About the position

The Sales Associate at GU SoHo is a part-time role focused on delivering exceptional customer service and achieving sales goals. This position involves engaging with customers, understanding their needs, and providing product information to facilitate sales. The Sales Associate will also maintain store standards and assist with various operational tasks.

Responsibilities

• Meet and exceed sales goals.
• Maintain brand and operational standards (visual, cleanliness, etc.).
• Manage customer needs and exceed expectations.
• Be knowledgeable of fitting room standards and assist when needed.
• Act as cashier when required by following cashier protocol.
• Process shipment and ensure all merchandise is represented on the floor in full size run.
• Assist management to identify and resolve issues in the store.
• Provide product and brand knowledge to customers.
• Follow all company policy and procedures & notify management of any infractions.
• Assist with special projects as assigned by management.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to effectively communicate and follow instructions.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that meets the business needs, including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time, read computer terminals, push, pull or move objects of at least 25 lbs.
• Ability to effectively maneuver around the sales floor and stockroom including: repetitive bending, prolonged standing, twisting, stooping, squatting, and climbing.
