About the position

Guardian Industries is offering a Summer Internship Program for 2025, targeting engineering students across various disciplines. The internship is a 12-week program designed to provide hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, focusing on innovation, process efficiency, and quality assurance. Interns will work closely with experienced professionals to tackle real-world challenges and contribute to the development of high-performance glass products.

Responsibilities

• Working in CAD software
• Preparing and performing failure testing on glass/trim samples
• Automation of processes and standardized reporting
• Conducting time studies and lean process improvement to achieve operational excellence
• Supporting product development lab experiments and field trials
• Learning about tooling and supporting project teams on new equipment installations

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Materials Engineering/Engineering Technology
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Nice-to-haves

• Previous internship or co-op experience in engineering
• Familiarity with CAD software
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
