About the position

The Guest Coordinator at Ulta Beauty plays a pivotal role in enhancing the guest experience and promoting the salon services offered by the company. This position is centered around engaging with guests both in-person and over the phone, ensuring that they receive exceptional service that aligns with Ulta Beauty's mission and values. The Guest Coordinator is responsible for representing the brand's image and culture while supporting the Experience Manager (EM) and Assistant Services Manager (ASM) in achieving performance goals related to service and retail sales, guest loyalty, and compliance with operational standards. In this role, the Guest Coordinator will actively contribute to the store's success by meeting or exceeding sales targets and fostering a welcoming environment for guests. They will handle various tasks, including managing the salon's booking system, addressing guest concerns, and promoting current promotions and events. The Guest Coordinator is expected to stay informed about industry trends and product knowledge to provide informed recommendations to guests, thereby enhancing their overall experience. The position also emphasizes the importance of teamwork and collaboration, as the Guest Coordinator will work closely with stylists and other team members to ensure a seamless guest experience. They will be responsible for maintaining operational standards, ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation procedures, and supporting the services team in delivering high-quality service. This role requires a passion for the beauty industry, strong communication skills, and the ability to build lasting relationships with guests.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with guests and promote Ulta Beauty services through one-on-one interactions.
  • Contribute to meeting or exceeding store goals related to retail and service sales.
  • Provide exceptional guest service by acknowledging all guests and offering prompt service.
  • Handle sales, refunds, and exchanges courteously.
  • Support the services team by managing salon phone calls and guest records.
  • Inform guests of current promotions and confidently invite them to try services.
  • Book appointments and support the execution of services and in-store events.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and product knowledge to better serve guests.
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Contribute to an inclusive environment that supports teammates and guests.
  • Develop guest relationships through in-person and over-the-phone interactions.
  • Collaborate with managers and stylists to grow the business and enhance guest experience.
  • Ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty's policies and procedures.
  • Support safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures in the salon.
  • Utilize scheduling tools to recommend adjustments for maximizing results.
  • Communicate supply needs to the EM to ensure guest-readiness.
  • Maintain outstanding store operational standards and cleanliness.

Requirements

  • High school diploma is preferred.
  • 1 year of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • Proficient with basic technology, including Point of Sale systems and Apple devices.
  • Demonstrate significant competency in sales, products, and service.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
