The Guest Service Representative at Hyatt House Seattle/Bellevue serves as the first point of contact for hotel guests, embodying the brand's commitment to exceptional hospitality. This part-time role involves welcoming guests, managing check-ins and check-outs, and ensuring a seamless experience by addressing guest inquiries and concerns. The representative is expected to maintain high standards of service, uphold hotel policies, and contribute to a positive work culture.

Responsibilities

  • Check all hotel guests in and out in a confident, professional and personalized manner.
  • Welcome and register hotel guests, explaining accommodations and establishing credit or method of payment.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of hotel information, including room categories, rates, packages, promotions, and local area.
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with LodgeWorks standards as required by scheduling.
  • Comply with LodgeWorks standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Take hotel reservations accurately and efficiently.
  • Ensure immediate response to every guest comment and concern to resolve it in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accuracy with all accounting, cash handling, and billing procedures.
  • Answer all calls in a courteous, professional, and efficient manner.
  • Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
  • Know and communicate hotel emergency procedures; inform and assist guests in emergencies.
  • Use hotel communication tools to log and notify fellow associates and supervisors of pertinent information.
  • Accomplish deep-cleaning tasks of guest rooms.
  • Follow LodgeWorks and OSHA standards.
  • Assist in any other tasks or duties as requested by management.

Requirements

  • Experience in hospitality or a service industry is preferred, with at least six months of related experience being a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and a heart for hospitality.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work both individually and as part of a team.
  • Capability to exert up to 60 pounds of force occasionally and stand for extended periods.
  • Comfortable following directions, guidelines, and work objectives.

Nice-to-haves

  • Practiced with six months' related experience in hospitality or a service industry.
