About the position

The Hotel Guest Service Agent at Staybridge Suites Houston NW Cypress Crossing is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to hotel guests. This role involves checking guests in, making reservations, and offering local recommendations to enhance their stay. The ideal candidate is outgoing, detail-oriented, and enjoys working with people, contributing to a welcoming environment in a newly opened extended stay hotel.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome all guests and confirm bookings upon their arrival
  • Act as a point of contact for guests who require help or information and attend to their wants and needs
  • Provide the best local recommendations, gathering in-depth knowledge about the premises as well as surrounding venues and businesses
  • Handle and distribute messages and mail, as well as redirect calls by answering the phone and making reservations
  • Answer any issues or complaints made by guests and come up with solutions quickly

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • One year of experience in the hospitality industry as a hotel front desk agent, hotel receptionist, or guest service specialist preferred
  • Knowledge of the local area to make recommendations for a variety of services
  • Excellent time management skills, organizational skills, customer service skills, and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable taking telephone calls and mitigating stressful situations
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and reservation management systems
