About the position

The Guest Service Associate/Cashier (GSA) at Global Partners LP is responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience while managing various store-level tasks. This role emphasizes a guest-first mentality, ensuring that every customer interaction is positive and engaging. The GSA will also adhere to safety and operational standards, manage point-of-sale transactions, and maintain store cleanliness and inventory levels.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide an enjoyable shopping experience for everyone.
• Adhere to established safety, security, quality, and store operations policies, procedures, and practices.
• Operate the point of sale according to corporate standards; maintain proper cash, lottery, and tobacco levels.
• Complete all store housekeeping functions including cleaning, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and emptying trash.
• Replenish products and supplies to ensure in-stock conditions at all times.
• Communicate with store management regarding guest requests and vendor-related concerns.
• Check in external and internal vendors per established guidelines.
• Conduct gas tank inventory and merchandising projects assigned by management.
• Complete other tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Must be available to work flexible hours including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to perform basic computer functions.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Ability to work in intermittent temperatures (e.g., outside, cooler).
• Ability to climb ladders and stairs, reach, bend, twist, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift/carry up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to freely access all areas of the store including selling floor, stock area, and register area.
• Ability to count, read, and write accurately to complete required paperwork.
