About the position

The Guest Service Associate/Cashier (GSA) at Global Partners LP is responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience while managing various store-level tasks. This role emphasizes a guest-first mentality, effective communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The GSA will contribute to the store's operations by adhering to safety and quality standards, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring product availability.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests and provide an enjoyable shopping experience for everyone.
  • Adhere to the execution of established safety, security, quality and store operations policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Operate the point of sale pursuant to corporate standards; maintain proper cash, lottery tobacco levels.
  • Complete all store housekeeping functions (cleaning, dusting, sweeping, mopping, emptying trash etc).
  • Replenish products and supplies ensuring in-stock conditions at all times.
  • Communicate with store management regarding guest requests and vendor-related concerns.
  • Check in external and internal vendors per established guidelines.
  • Conduct gas tank inventory and merchandising projects assigned by management.
  • Complete other tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Must be available to work flexible hours that may include day, nights, weekends and or holidays.
  • Ability to perform basic computer functions.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work in intermittent temperatures; i.e. outside, cooler, etc.
  • Ability to climb ladders & stairs, reach, bend, twist, stoop, kneel, crouch and lift/carry up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to freely access all areas of the store including selling floor, stock area, and register area.
  • Perform duties of the job in a timely manner.
  • Ability to count, read and write accurately to complete required paperwork.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a customer service role.
  • Familiarity with point of sale systems.
