The Guest Service Associate/Night Auditor position at the new Sea Glass Beach Place, Trademark Collection by Wyndham, involves managing front desk operations during evening and overnight shifts. The role focuses on providing exceptional customer service to ensure a memorable experience for guests, handling check-ins and check-outs, processing payments, and addressing guest inquiries and complaints. This position is crucial for maintaining high guest satisfaction and operational efficiency in a boutique hotel setting.

Responsibilities

  • Check guests in and out of the hotel efficiently and courteously.
  • Maintain coverage at the front desk during scheduled shifts.
  • Prepare for guest arrivals by reviewing special requests and organizing paperwork.
  • Proactively seek areas for improvement in guest services.
  • Respond to guest complaints and engage in service recovery to maintain positive relations.
  • Ensure compliance with brand standards and security procedures.
  • Promote teamwork and quality service through communication with other departments.
  • Provide information and resources to guests regarding hotel services and local attractions.
  • Perform courtesy calls to guests and log responses appropriately.
  • Communicate pertinent information related to guest arrivals and departures to relevant departments.
  • Correctly enter and validate guest information into the computer system.
  • Run reports and ensure accurate information is maintained in the system.
  • Process and ensure proper credit is received from hotel guests.
  • Maintain cash drawer and handle incoming telephone calls.
  • Receive and acknowledge reservation requests and changes.
  • Distribute and log mail, faxes, messages, or packages for guests.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of experience in a customer service-related industry.
  • Fluent in English; other languages preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of computers and software, including email and word processing.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate reliable and timely attendance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Hotel experience preferred but not necessary.
  • Basic math skills.

Benefits

  • Competitive hourly wage of $16 - $18 per hour.
