About The Position

The Guest Services Attendant at Naperville Park District is a seasonal role focused on providing exceptional frontline customer service at Centennial Beach. The position involves various responsibilities including money handling, sales, customer inquiries, and maintaining facility cleanliness, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all guests.

Requirements

• Must be at least 15 years old.
• Ability to lift, carry, and/or move objects weighing 30 lbs on a daily basis. Lifting assistance is required when lifting > 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide an exceptional customer service experience by assisting customers on the phone and in person with all Centennial Beach processes and questions.
• Respond to phone calls and customer complaints or inquiries in a timely fashion.
• Assist customers with and complete all necessary phases of membership sales and point of sale transactions.
• Assist patrons entering the park by checking identification, scanning cards, checking coolers & bags, and providing information and directions.
• Successfully operate membership and POS computer software to assist customers.
• Ensure public safety by monitoring Centennial Beach and the surrounding Riverwalk areas within the direct vicinity of Centennial Beach.
• Ensure confidential use of customer information, including credit card transactions and household accounts.
• Successfully balance receipts, reconcile transactions, and prepare daily bank deposits.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and friendly environment for guests, co-workers, and the public.
• Perform daily ground clean-up of garbage and debris, including litter picking, emptying garbage cans, and taking garbage to dumpsters.
• Maintain clean bathhouse showers and restroom areas by sweeping, garbage removal, and restocking restroom supplies.
• Exercise prompt and professional judgment in administering rule enforcement for those who violate Beach safety rules.
• Consult with the Centennial Beach Assistant Manager in cases of disciplinary actions for patrons.
• Assist with the deepwater testing and document the names of patrons that pass the test.
• Monitor inventory of supplies and equipment and report inventory in need of replacement to Centennial Beach Assistant Manager.
