About The Position

Powder Mountain is a year-round resort and real estate development project nestled throughout 10,000 acres in the Wasatch Mountains of Northern Utah. Recently acquired by Reed Hastings, Co-Founder of Netflix, Powder is committed to staying uncrowded and independent—and we're revolutionizing the ski industry along the way. Join our mission to spark wonder by creating a unique place that fuses mountain recreation, art, and meaningful connection. We are looking for Big-Hearted Champions Who Pick Up the Trash. If you're a passionate, caring team player who strives for excellence—and always tries to do the right thing, even when no one is watching—you'll fit right in at Powder. As a Guest Service Host, you will deliver the highest quality service and accurate resort and local information while stationed at strategic posts throughout the mountain or during complementary tours. The Hosts promote the unique products, services, and mountain features in an engaging and friendly manner. You will support the Ticket Department and Access Control by greeting guests, explaining products, assisting with online purchases, and diffusing escalated situations. This role is essential in ensuring that guests have a memorable experience at Powder Mountain, and you will be expected to proactively engage guests and deliver stellar service in designated areas of the resort and during complementary mountain tours. You will need to have in-depth knowledge of resort products, services, mountain wayfinding, and current resort and local information including road closures and lift/trail openings/closures. Additionally, you will provide informative, safe, and engaging tours following designated routes to ensure guests can navigate the unique mountain on their own. Your responsibilities will also include assisting in snow removal and cleanliness near sales centers, lodges, and building entry portals, as well as reporting emergencies, accidents, and theft to the appropriate department. You may assist Mountain Patrol in the end-of-day ‘sweep' functions for those working a full day. It is crucial to be current on National Ski Patrol (NSP) requirements including Outdoor First Care and basic CPR, and to implement, promote, and embrace Powder Mountain's Mission, Values, and Service Essentials, and policies and procedures.
