About the position

The Guest Service Representative at Homewood Suites by Hilton is responsible for providing excellent guest service in a professional and courteous manner while adhering to LBA standards. This role involves managing front office operations, acting as Manager on Duty, and ensuring guest satisfaction during late evening and early morning hours. The representative will execute selling strategies to enhance hotel revenue and maintain thorough communication with management staff.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent guest service in an efficient and courteous manner.
  • Follow LBA standards of friendly hospitality while adhering to guidelines and procedures.
  • Execute selling strategies to enhance hotel revenue.
  • Act as Manager on Duty and respond immediately to guest requests.
  • Represent the hotel during late evening and early morning hours.
  • Maintain thorough communication with management staff.
  • Greet and register guests, provide room assignments, and accommodate special requests when possible.
  • Promote and sell services/amenities of the hotel.
  • Promote repeat business by taking future reservations and providing recommendations.
  • Report potential sales leads and contacts through guest interaction.
  • Check all credit cards for validity before the end of the shift.
  • Ensure all cash, check, and miscellaneous departments are in balance at shift's end.
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness of the property and guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain a thorough working knowledge of emergency procedures and safety standards.

Requirements

  • Experience in accounting, sales, telesales, service, or guest relations is helpful but not mandatory.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; degree helpful but not required.
  • Knowledge of Manager on Duty functions, cash and credit card handling, and safety measures.
  • Ability to communicate in English; knowledge of another language is helpful.
  • Computer literate to operate property management system.

  • Ability to multi-task and remain guest service centric.
  • Experience in hospitality or customer service roles.
