About the position
The Guest Service Representative - Night Auditor is responsible for providing excellent guest service in a professional and courteous manner while adhering to LBA standards. This role involves managing front office operations during late evening and early morning hours, responding to guest requests, and executing selling strategies to enhance hotel revenue. The position requires a strong focus on guest relations, safety, and communication with management and other departments.
Responsibilities
- Greet and register guests, providing room assignments and maintaining guest privacy.
- Promote and sell hotel services and amenities.
- Handle guest inquiries and provide recommendations for local attractions and services.
- Check credit cards for validity and ensure all financial transactions are balanced at the end of the shift.
- Assist with housekeeping and maintain cleanliness in the lobby and dining areas.
- Report any unusual occurrences or requests to management.
- Maintain knowledge of emergency procedures and safety standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; degree preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience in guest relations, sales, or service industry is helpful but not required.
- Knowledge of cash and credit card handling, balancing charges, and safety measures.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English; knowledge of another language is a plus.
- Computer literacy to operate property management systems.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in accounting or telesales is beneficial.
- Ability to multi-task and remain guest service centric.
