About the position

The Guest Service Representative at Tide Cleaners is responsible for providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. This role involves managing customer inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring a high-quality experience for all customers. The representative will also handle garment check-in and check-out processes, maintain cleanliness in the store, and assist in training new employees.

Responsibilities

  • Provide the best in-store customer experience to dry cleaning and laundry customers.
  • Manage customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person, building rapport and identifying needs.
  • Resolve and deescalate customer complaints and issues.
  • Perform all clothes check-in and check-out tasks, including tagging and organizing garments.
  • Inform customers about payment methods and verify credit card data.
  • Perform basic math skills to calculate garment prices and operate cash transactions accurately.
  • Ensure quality standards of Tide Cleaners are met.
  • Train employees in all aspects of running a counter store.
  • Open and close the store and perform daily goals.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the counter area.

Requirements

  • Ability to recognize numbers and perform basic math skills.
  • Strong leadership qualities and ability to self-start.
  • Previous experience in hospitality or customer service roles is preferred.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
