About the position

The Guest Service Supervisor (GSS) at Global Partners LP is responsible for ensuring an exceptional guest experience while overseeing store operations. This role involves supervising employees, providing coaching, and maintaining high standards of service and store cleanliness. The GSS plays a crucial role in fostering a guest-first mentality and driving the overall success of the store through effective leadership and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise employees to ensure they perform all job duties as directed by management.
  • Coach employees by providing constructive feedback to enhance their performance.
  • Greet guests and ensure an enjoyable shopping experience for all.
  • Adhere to established safety, security, quality, and store operations policies and procedures.
  • Operate the point of sale according to corporate standards and maintain proper cash levels.
  • Ensure all store housekeeping functions are completed, including cleaning and maintenance tasks.
  • Execute all guest service programs and processes 24/7.
  • Manage all cash processes, including deposit preparation and handling of lottery and gift cards.
  • Replenish products to maintain in-stock conditions.
  • Address inquiries and complaints from guests.
  • Check in external and internal vendors according to established guidelines.

Requirements

  • Must be available to work flexible hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to access all areas of the store, including selling floor, stock area, and register area.
  • Ability to reach, bend, twist, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and lift up to 25 lbs during a shift.
  • High School Diploma or GED.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a supervisory role in a retail or customer service environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to defuse issues effectively.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
