About the position

The Guest Services Agent is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to guests at the hotel. This role involves greeting and registering guests, managing reservations, and ensuring a pleasant stay by addressing guest inquiries and needs. The agent plays a crucial role in maximizing room revenue and occupancy while maintaining high standards of service and professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and register guests upon arrival.
  • Manage and modify reservations as needed.
  • Provide concierge services and assist guests with inquiries.
  • Handle check-ins and check-outs efficiently and courteously.
  • Maintain proper operation of the telephone switchboard.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel standards and regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with guests and team members.
  • Assist in emergency procedures as required.
  • Log and deliver packages, mail, and messages to guests.
  • Attend meetings as required by management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task and be detail-oriented.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to handle guest issues effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey information clearly.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic arithmetic skills for handling financial information.
