About the position

The Guest Services Representative plays a crucial role in ensuring a positive and professional experience for guests at the Parks and Recreation Community Center. This position involves high levels of public interaction, handling inquiries, completing transactions, and maintaining safety standards within the facility. The representative is expected to deliver exceptional service in a fun and welcoming environment while performing various operational tasks.

Responsibilities

• Receive and answer inquiries from the public via telephone, email, or in person.
• Complete point of sale transactions and handle program registrations, group reservations, and rentals.
• Ensure safety standards are followed through regular walk-throughs and light cleaning.
• Provide consistent and exceptional service to guests.
• Assist in maintaining a positive and welcoming environment.

Requirements

• At least one year of customer service work experience preferred.
• Experience using a cash register preferred.
• Must be a minimum of 16 years of age.
• Obtain CPR/AED Certification within 90 days of employment.
• Must possess FEMA IS100 and IS700a within six months of employment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a recreational or community service environment.
• Bilingual skills to assist a diverse clientele.
