The Guest Services Representative at Trinity Health plays a crucial role in assisting patients during their hospital visit. Responsibilities

  • Obtain personal and financial information and signatures on insurance and consent forms from patients or family members.
  • Assign rooms to patients and explain hospital policies and procedures when necessary.
  • Explain Advance Directives to patients/families.
  • Initiate patient transfers and arrange for patient escort to departments.
  • Prepare records of admission and outpatient services, verifying demographic and insurance information.
  • Prepare charts, labels, and identification bands when applicable.
  • Meet and greet visitors in the outpatient department and register outpatients as necessary.

Requirements

  • Well developed communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals and groups representing diverse perspectives.
  • Prior employment in a health care environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Knowledge and ability to use computer applications and complete data entry functions.
  • Commitment to the philosophy, values, mission, and vision of the organization.
