About the position

The Seasonal Part Time Team Specialist, Level 1 at Georgia Aquarium focuses on hospitality and servant leadership to create a welcoming and engaging experience for guests. This entry-level role supports the Guest Services department's operations, including Dolphin and Sea Lion Presentations, while receiving extensive hospitality training. The position emphasizes excellent guest communication skills and attention to detail, with opportunities for promotion to a permanent part-time role after 90 days based on performance.

Responsibilities

• Create engaging moments for guests by fostering a warm and inviting environment.
• Support general operations in Dolphin and Sea Lion Presentation seating and other guest-facing areas.
• Maintain animal and guest safety as a priority.
• Provide exceptional care and service to guests, ensuring a culture of hospitality.
• Welcome and greet arriving guests, assisting with information sharing and wayfinding.
• Assist with guest safety and comfort during presentations and shows.
• Perform administrative tasks and assist the Guest Services management team.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• At least one year of guest service experience in a zoo, aquarium, or hospitality setting preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in guest service and hospitality through effective communication.
• Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts.
• Previous cash handling experience preferred.
• Knowledge of wildlife conservation and environmental issues.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in theater settings (i.e., auditoriums, arenas, etc.) preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products.
