About the position

The Guest Services Specialist at Helio Health plays a crucial role in supporting patients dealing with substance use and mental health disorders. This full-time position involves orienting patients, managing their ongoing needs, and ensuring the facility is clean and safe. The specialist will also be responsible for transporting patients to appointments and assisting with crisis intervention when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in orientating patients to the facility and program expectations.
  • Manage ongoing needs throughout the patient's stay in the program.
  • Prepare and maintain the facility for cleanliness and safety.
  • Transport service recipients to and from their appointments.
  • Assist with crisis intervention activities as requested.
  • Respond to patient inquiries and requests, resolving issues in a timely and friendly manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • Entry-level knowledge of the biopsychosocial process of addiction/recovery and self-help group processes.
  • Ability to relate effectively with staff, patients, and the professional community.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Sound judgment and cultural competency.
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications.
  • Valid NYS Driver's license required.
