About the position

The Guest Services Team Member at CORE4 Athletic Complex serves as the first point of contact for all guests, embodying the spirit of excellent customer service. This role is crucial in creating a welcoming environment for visitors and ensuring they have a positive experience at the facility. The team member is expected to possess a comprehensive understanding of the facility's programs and offerings, enabling them to assist guests effectively. This position is part-time and non-exempt, reporting directly to the Program Director. The Guest Services Team Member will engage with members and guests, providing information and assistance as needed, and will be responsible for various tasks that contribute to the smooth operation of the facility. In addition to greeting guests and providing wayfinding assistance, the Guest Services Team Member will assist in selling membership packages, day passes, and program registrations. They will be expected to deliver courteous and friendly service, ensuring that all interactions reflect the high standards of CORE4 Athletic Complex. Knowledge of local transport options, restaurant recommendations, and facility programs is essential for this role. The team member will also operate multi-line phones, record waivers and event information, and maintain confidentiality regarding guest and team member information. The role requires the ability to professionally resolve guest concerns and complaints, directing them to the appropriate manager when necessary. The Guest Services Team Member will enforce venue policies and procedures, complete special projects, and manage office supply inventory. They will assist with venue preparation for events and support event and parking operations, ensuring a seamless experience for guests. Proficiency in membership and facility scheduling software platforms is also a key requirement, along with the ability to handle various daily assignments and duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Greet members and guests and provide information and way finding as needed
  • Assist with selling membership packages, day passes, and program registrations
  • Provide courteous and friendly first-in-class service to all members and guests
  • Be knowledgeable for guests on various matters such as transport, restaurant advice, etc.
  • Be knowledgeable about facility programs (format, pricing, meeting dates/times)
  • Operate multi-line phones
  • Record waivers and event information
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion with guest and Team Member information
  • Professionally resolve guest concerns and complaints and/or direct to appropriate manager
  • Know and enforce the venue policies and procedures
  • Complete special projects, daily assignments, and other duties as assigned
  • Manage the inventory of the office supplies and reorder items as needed
  • Assist with venue preparation for events
  • Assist during major events with event and parking operations
  • Assist and transport guests as needed around the facility during events
  • Become proficient with membership and facility scheduling software platforms
  • Complete special projects, daily assignments, and other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends, holidays, long hours) and regular attendance necessary
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficient computer skills with basic software platforms
  • Ability to maintain focus in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Must have excellent guest service skills
  • Must be detail-oriented and have outstanding organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and remain calm and focused in difficult and stressful situations
  • Must be respectful and friendly to our athletes, guests, visitors, spectators, leaders, and fellow Team Members
