At the dawn of a new space age, Lockheed Martin is a pioneer, partner, innovator, and builder. Our amazing people are on a mission to make a difference in the world, and every single day we use our unique skills and experiences to craft, design, and build solutions to some of the world's hardest engineering problems. We are looking for a Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GN&C) Hardware Engineer to join our team. This role is specifically for a hardware engineer who is eager to learn and grow within the NGI program and potentially support other programs in the future. The successful candidate will be part of a talented group that oversees the design and production of hardware sensors and actuators for GN&C subsystems, both for missiles and spacecraft. In this position, you will be responsible for learning about and performing various engineering reviews, including Material Review Boards, Failure Review Boards, Critical Design Reviews, and Qualification Review Boards. You will also be involved in the design and testing oversight of hardware throughout the Enterprise, focusing on IMU/gyros, star trackers, GPSRs, sun sensors, and MTRs. The role requires a willingness to acquire a Secret clearance and a commitment to learning about subcontractor hardware development, including build, test, and integration processes. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative projects and work in a collaborative environment that encourages creative thinking and problem-solving.
