About the position
The Guidewire Application Developer position is focused on developing and maintaining complex web applications using Guidewire Policy Center and Java/J2EE technologies. The role requires a hands-on developer with strong technical skills to work within a Commercial Insurance Team, ensuring high-quality software delivery and integration with third-party vendors.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Java and Guidewire based systems.
- Work with a team of engineers to deliver high-quality software.
- Stay up to date on the latest trends in Enterprise level frameworks and platforms.
- Research and fact-find to develop or modify information systems and system integrations.
- Assist in defining best practices, standards, and developing code libraries and Proof of Concepts.
- Prepare detailed specifications or designs from which programs will be written.
- Code/configure, unit test, review code, debug, document, and maintain complex software applications.
Requirements
- Strong experience in Guidewire Policy Center development.
- Proficient in Core Java / J2EE Enterprise (Spring Boot, Webservices, and Rest Services).
- Strong experience with SQL Entities.
