About the position

The Guidewire Automation Tester role involves analyzing and testing various components of the Guidewire platform, specifically focusing on the Policy Center and Claim Center. The position requires a strong understanding of API automation, functional testing, and the ability to develop both manual and automated test scripts. The tester will collaborate with multiple stakeholders to ensure comprehensive testing strategies are implemented and executed effectively.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and identify topics/events in Guidewire.
• Analyze API payloads for various operations and integration points to determine testing approaches.
• Develop automation strategies for Functional UI, Guidewire Policy Center, Claim Center, BDD, and API.
• Prepare test data strategies based on Guidewire Policy Center, Claim Center, and legacy systems.
• Create test strategies and plans for all testing types (API, Functional, Performance, Security) and obtain stakeholder approvals.
• Build and execute manual and automated scripts for API and functional testing, reporting status to stakeholders periodically.
• Perform validation between Guidewire data model and customer-specific data model.
• Prepare estimations for different testing types and share with stakeholders.
• Interact with product management, project management, and development teams to understand project and testing objectives.
• Coordinate with offshore, onshore, and other stakeholders to complete deliverables.
• Conduct end-to-end testing for Guidewire Policy Center and Claim Center.
• Develop configuration/integration test scenarios and test cases for Policy Center and Claim Center.
• Identify test data needs and prepare test data for required tests.
• Log defects and track them through closure.
• Create and run functional, application, regression, ad-hoc, and integration tests, including both positive and negative scenarios.

Requirements

• Experience with Guidewire, specifically Policy Center and Claim Center.
• Proficiency in API automation and functional UI testing.
• Hands-on experience with GTUI Framework is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript and BDD (Behavioral Driven Development).
• Ability to prepare comprehensive test strategies and plans for various testing types.
• Experience in end-to-end testing processes.
