About the position
The Guitar Teacher position at The Piano Place involves instructing students in guitar and potentially other instruments in a part-time capacity. Responsibilities
- Instructing students for 30-minute lessons
- Assessing new student abilities
- Creating lesson plans
- Preparing students for recitals
- Facilitating student participation in recitals
- Assisting students in reaching their learning goals
- Communicating with parents/guardians about student progress
Requirements
- Must have interpersonal skills to connect with people of all ages and skill levels
- Ability to demonstrate teaching ability and instrument skill level during an interview
- Minimum of a 1-year commitment to teaching
- Ability to teach on multiple instruments (piano, guitar, voice, ukulele, violin, cello, drums, etc.) is preferred
Nice-to-haves
- Degree in Music Education or Music Performance is a plus
