About the position

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Gymnastics Coach to join our dynamic team at Arizona Gymkids. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in gymnastics and experience working with students of various ages and skill levels. This role involves teaching gymnastics skills, promoting physical fitness, and fostering a positive environment for all participants. The Gymnastics Coach will play a crucial role in developing athletes' abilities while ensuring their safety and well-being during training sessions.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct gymnastics classes for students of different ages and skill levels.
• Teach fundamental gymnastics skills, including tumbling, balance beam, vault, and bars.
• Provide individualized instruction to help students improve their techniques and achieve their goals.
• Ensure the safety of all participants by implementing proper warm-up routines and safety protocols.
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement.
• Organize and supervise practice sessions, competitions, and special events.
• Maintain a clean and safe training environment by regularly inspecting equipment and facilities.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding progress, concerns, and program updates.
• Foster a positive team spirit among students through encouragement and support.

Requirements

• Previous experience in health club environments or similar settings is preferred.
• Experience working with students in a coaching or instructional capacity is essential.
• Background in sports coaching or physical education is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of gymnastics techniques and safety practices is required.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Ability to motivate and inspire young athletes while maintaining a fun learning atmosphere.

Nice-to-haves

• Certifications in lifeguarding, martial arts (such as Karate or Judo), or behavior management are considered assets.
