About the position
Swedish Medical Group is seeking a Gynecology/Oncologist and Pelvic Surgeon to provide specialized care in gynecological oncology and pelvic surgery. This role involves working across multiple locations in the Seattle area and is part of a recognized team known for high performance in gynecological care. The position emphasizes minimally invasive surgical techniques and participation in research studies, contributing to the advancement of gynecological oncology.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized gynecological care with a focus on pelvic surgery and oncology.
- Perform minimally invasive surgeries using traditional laparoscopy and the da Vinci surgical system.
- Participate in research studies and clinical trials related to gynecological oncology.
- Collaborate with a team of gynecologic oncologists and support staff to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Engage in the development of physicians through fellowship and residency programs.
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification in Gynecology/Oncology.
- Experience in performing pelvic surgeries and managing gynecological malignancies.
- Familiarity with minimally invasive surgical techniques, including robotic surgery.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients and healthcare teams.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in research and clinical trials in gynecological oncology.
- Fellowship training in Gynecologic Oncology.
