About the position

The H-1 2nd Shift Floor Lead / QA position at ACET involves overseeing and managing the daily operations of the H-1 helicopter modification and integration program at Camp Pendleton, CA. This role requires a seasoned professional with strong leadership skills, operational expertise, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality. The Floor Lead will work closely with the day shift lead and operations managers to ensure efficient workflow and team development.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations on the aviation floor, ensuring all activities are conducted efficiently and safely.
  • Set individual employee tasking priorities and oversee aircraft integration progress.
  • Mentor, train, and develop team members to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Coordinate and manage the workflow on the floor, ensuring tasks are prioritized and completed on time.
  • Effectively allocate resources to optimize operations and minimize downtime.
  • Uphold high-quality standards for all tasks performed on the floor, ensuring compliance with guidelines and regulations.
  • Proactively identify and address operational issues or delays, implementing solutions as needed.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the floor team and management, providing regular updates on operations.
  • Conduct daily briefings with the team to communicate priorities and operational updates.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in helicopter maintenance, including at least 7 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Experience with H-1 helicopters is a must.
  • Proven leadership and management capabilities.
  • Expertise in helicopter maintenance procedures, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license, or equivalent military certification preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance if required.
  • Flexibility to work various hours and be available for on-call duties as needed.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a high noise area within an aircraft hangar/flightline environment.
  • Familiarity with safety and quality control standards in aviation.
