About the position
The HACCP Coordinator is responsible for training quality assurance employees in HACCP, SSOPs, and regulatory paperwork, while ensuring a safe work environment and identifying improvement opportunities within the department and facility.
Responsibilities
- Train Quality Assurance Team Members.
- Verify daily paperwork in the department.
- Work with USDA and shipping to provide all paperwork required for the export of product.
- Comply with all written corporate and plant policies.
- Familiarize with various types of machinery throughout the processing plant.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge and understanding of HACCP, SSOP, etc.
- Review necessary reports and forms to comply with all government regulations and company policies.
- Maintain the highest possible level of personal hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with plant GMP policies.
- Follow written specifications for packaging and labeling of products.
- Physically inspect products for natural occurring and processing defects.
- Identify and report any suspicious or abnormal situations to immediate supervisor or plant management.
Requirements
- 1+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong communication skills.
