About the position

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) for Hach, a Veralto company, is responsible for driving sales growth and delivering customer value within the industrial sector in South Carolina. This role involves managing strategic accounts, developing sales strategies, and collaborating with various teams to promote Hach's products and services. The RSM operates autonomously from a home office, requiring an entrepreneurial mindset to effectively manage the territory and engage with customers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategic sales targeting established customer portfolio in South Carolina.
  • Support the Industrial business and promote Hach's products, including instrumentation and reagents.
  • Proactively sell to existing and new industrial customers within a defined geographic territory.
  • Develop and execute a collaborative business plan for territory management.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with engineering firms and other accounts influencing customer buying decisions.
  • Participate in sales activities including customer site visits, trade seminars, and product demonstrations.
  • Act as a mentor for the growth and development of other RSMs.
  • Provide key field input in corporate programs including market research and equipment beta testing.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of direct sales experience in analytical instrumentation.
  • Bachelor's degree in a science-related field such as Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience; a Master's is an asset.
  • Valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge and/or experience selling in the Industrial market.
  • Hands-on experience using a CRM (i.e. Salesforce.com).
  • Formal sales training and/or experience in Question Based Selling, Value Selling, Sandler, and other sales methodologies.
