About the position
The Hadoop Developer position is a contract role focused on leveraging Hadoop architecture and its components to design and implement applications. The role requires extensive experience in the Hadoop ecosystem, particularly with Cloudera infrastructure, and involves writing MapReduce/Spark programs, optimizing SQL queries, and managing ETL processes using Python frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Write MapReduce/Spark programs for Hadoop-based applications.
- Set up standards and processes for application design and implementation.
- Analyze analytical SQL queries and assist the business team with optimization.
- Manage ETL processes including data transformation, sourcing, mapping, conversion, and loading using Python-based frameworks.
- Utilize various tools in the Hadoop environment such as Hive, HDFS, MapReduce, Sqoop, Spark, Yarn, and Oozie.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in the Hadoop ecosystem.
- 5+ years of experience as a Python developer with strong object-oriented programming skills.
- Good knowledge of Hadoop architecture, particularly Cloudera infrastructure and its components.
